Albert DiPaola, 71, of the Town of Greenville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of making a terroristic threat, said Trooper Steven Nevel.

Minisink Valley Superintendent Brian Monahan said in a statement on the school district website Thursday, that the district received complaints from employees on Wednesday and the state police were contacted.

"At no time was a threat made directly involving our students, and/or our schools," said Monahan. "Following the investigation into this matter, the State Police made the determination to arrest the driver. We will continue to assist law enforcement with their investigation."

The threats were limited to the staff of the bus garage and did not involve students, teachers, or other staff of the school district, state police said.

"Due to the swift response on the part of the district and the State Police, no imminent threat exists and we have encouraged our faculty, staff, and students to carry on with their instructional day," Monahan said. "As always, the faculty and staff at Minisink Valley Central Schools remain vigilant in our efforts to ensure a safe environment for our students and school community."

DiPaola was arraigned in the Town of Wawayanda Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail on $15,000 bail or $35,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 22.
